Kakobuy QC photos: a practical inspection checklist and its limits

Review visible order details, ask precise follow-up questions and separate reference images from the inspection of your own purchase.

Identify what you are actually looking at

Before judging a photo, establish its source. Seller photography, another buyer’s historical images and the pictures attached to your own warehouse order serve different purposes. A good-looking reference image does not prove that your item has arrived in the same condition. Keep the order number and selected variant visible while reviewing your own inspection.

The pictures on Kakobuy Pick come from CnBuyCha. We have not verified them as warehouse QC. Use them to research visible features, then use the photos associated with your own Kakobuy order to decide what needs checking before shipment.

Read the standard inspection scope

Kakobuy’s published inspection rules focus on visible details such as style, quantity, colour, size and model. They describe restrictions on opening sealed goods and on inspecting the contents of certain sealed non-clothing items. Treat this as a defined service scope, not a promise that every hidden problem has been tested.

The same rules exclude authenticity, functionality and quality assessments for specialised goods such as electronics from standard inspection. A photograph of a powered device would not, by itself, establish battery health, electrical safety or long-term reliability. Ask what a requested extra check can actually establish before relying on it.

Review identity before minor cosmetic details

Start with whether the received item matches the order at all. Compare the visible colour, style, label, model and number of pieces with the selected option. For a set, confirm that all expected components are represented. For a pair, look at both items. This prevents a small stitching discussion from distracting you from an incorrect variant.

Next inspect the views for visible damage, stains, uneven construction or missing parts. A photograph may hide a surface, distort proportions or shift colour under lighting. Describe the uncertainty precisely instead of turning an unclear image into a definite defect claim.

Request evidence that answers one question

A focused request is easier to act on: ask for the label, the relevant closure, the inside pocket or a clearly positioned measurement. State which order and which part you mean. Confirm availability and any charge for extra photographs or measurements through Kakobuy before assuming the service is included.

For a measurement photo, explain the start and end points and whether you need a flat width or circumference. A ruler placed at an angle or a garment stretched differently can give a misleading comparison. Your request should make the method reproducible, especially if you are comparing it with an item you already own.

Decide before changing the packaging

If something does not match, save the relevant images and contact the purchaser through the order message area. Keep the original tags and packaging while the issue is assessed. The return rules include condition requirements and exclusions for items whose packaging or labels have been removed.

Avoid approving a parcel simply because you have waited a long time. Equally, avoid assuming every visible irregularity qualifies for a free return. Separate an established mismatch from a preference or an unresolved question, then ask for the available remedy and its cost before deciding.

Practical checklist

  • Match the photo to your own order and selected option.
  • Check identity, quantity and obvious damage first.
  • Ask one precise question when a view is missing.
  • Keep tags and packaging until return questions are resolved.
