Kakobuy warehouse storage: deadlines, unmatched parcels and return timing

Understand the official storage periods and keep each item’s warehouse deadline separate from its return eligibility.

Track each item, not just the newest arrival

A warehouse can make a multi-seller order easier to organise, but the items do not necessarily arrive on the same day. Build a small record containing each order number, arrival or stored date, status and the next action. Waiting for the final item should not make you lose sight of the oldest one.

Use the dates and status displayed in your own Kakobuy account. A seller’s dispatch date is not necessarily the date that starts the warehouse storage clock. When the status is unclear, ask support which date applies rather than estimating from a domestic tracking screenshot.

Read the normal storage rule with its conditions

The official storage page checked on 17 October 2026 states a 100-day period for normal purchasing and forwarding parcels, starting from stored status. It describes a reminder after 90 days and warns about disposal after expiry when there has been no parcel submission or feedback. Confirm the current rule and the individual deadline before planning to wait.

A reminder is a useful extra signal, not a substitute for your own record. Keep contact information current and do not assume that an unread email, a holiday or an intention to purchase more goods automatically extends storage. Ask about your options before a deadline becomes urgent.

Resolve unmatched arrivals promptly

The same official page treats abnormal parcels differently. It describes a 60-day period from receipt for arrivals without the necessary order or complete logistics information, and explains that unmatched ownership can prevent reminders. This is a separate case from a normal order already associated with your account.

If a forwarding parcel has arrived but you cannot match it to an order, prepare the real tracking number, sender details and purchase evidence. Use the official account or support process to resolve the association. Do not create guessed records or assume an unknown parcel will be safely held indefinitely.

Storage time is not return time

Warehouse storage and seller return eligibility answer different questions. Storage concerns how long the goods remain held; returns concern whether a seller will take an item back under the applicable conditions. Kakobuy’s published five-day return rules contain eligibility, timing and condition requirements that are much shorter than normal storage.

Review an item soon after arrival, particularly if its size, colour or condition is uncertain. Keeping it in storage does not pause every seller deadline. Avoid postponing inspection until all the other items arrive if that means an earlier item’s return window may close.

Plan the next action before combining items

Once the items have been checked, compare shipping them together with splitting them into suitable parcels. Use actual contents, dimensions and route restrictions in that comparison. Do not hold a resolved item solely to chase a hypothetical saving that has never been quoted.

Keep a clear next action for every line in your record: await seller dispatch, inspect, ask a question, request a return, or submit a parcel. This makes a larger order manageable and helps you decide when waiting no longer serves the purchase plan. It is an editorial organisation method, not a promise of additional storage services.
